I hope your life will be full of God's love and blessing, and I want to share grace with you through the message titled with "The right attitude during worship service."

Just by looking at a person's eating habits and behaviors, we can judge how healthy that person is. If a person can digest a meal well even though the food is poor, it indicates that he is healthy.

In the same way, you can get an estimate of how well a person is doing in his Christian life just by looking at his attitude during worship service. A person who receives grace during sermon and becomes changed indicates that he is spiritually healthy. It is because worship service is the highlight of our Christian life. Then, how should we believers offer worship service to God to please Him?

In my case, I took a shower with a pious attitude early in the morning on the Lord's Day, wore my underwear and socks that had been washed clean, and I wore my outer clothing that was the cleanest. I have always been persistent in this attitude from my early Christian life until now. Also, I always have been prompt in arriving at church before the start of worship service, and even though a young servant of the Lord preached, I listened to the sermon with a humble heart as if I was before God.

I sang praises with all my heart and appreciation learning spiritual meanings embedded in the lyrics, prepared offerings, whether big or small, in every worship service, and never attended empty handed. The offerings that I prepared had always been clean, and even though I urgently needed money for personal use, I never used the money that I prepared for an offering.

I'm saying this not to boast about myself. I tell you this to show that if you have God-fearing heart, you will give God everything from the heart whether it is your posture, time, clothing, or offering. Of course, God is pleased with a worship service that you have prepared with your heart rather than nothing prepared with no respect.

Yet, some people come during worship service and make a wall between themselves and God. For example, they quarrel with others in the sanctuary, talk about worldly things, and doze off and chat with the person next to them during the service.

They send text messages with their phones, eat snacks, and drink beverages. Moreover, they are habitually late for church or run hurriedly to make it on time even though they should be already prepared 10 minutes beforehand if they do not have a special occasion. In addition, they get up from their seats before benediction or the Lord's Prayer because of personal business.

How can God be pleased with such attitude? They are actually dishonoring God and showing Him disrespect. Even in this world, when you meet someone superior than you, you prepare your clothing, your mind, and your posture with great care. Hence, our behavior must be made whole before God the Creator, who is worthy to be praised and receive glory from humanity.

God watches how we prepare for worship service, how much we long to listen to the Word and how we praise with a God-loving heart. He receives our aroma of inner hearts and gives us blessing.

I hope you value worship service and offer you aroma with all your heart and mind. When you do so, I pray in the name of the Lord that God may be pleased with your aroma and bless you and say, "What should I give you!"
