Scripture

2 Chronicles 20:20
"They rose early in the morning and went out to the wilderness of Tekoa; and when they went out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, "Listen to me, O Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem, put your trust in the LORD your God and you will be established. Put your trust in His prophets and succeed."

I wish for your lifer to be filled with God's love and blessing. Now I want to share the grace with you through the message titled with "Power of Praise."

Let me give you an illustration of the Bible. 2 Chronicles chapter 20 reads that King Jehoshabath of the Southern Kingdom and his people were attacked by the untied army of the a few gentile countries. King Jehoshabath relied on God and petitioned to Him eagerly, and triumphed over them.

The king boldly proclaimed to the people, "Put your trust in the LORD your God and you will be established. Put your trust in His prophets and succeed" (2 Chronicles 20:20). And he appointed those who sang to the LORD and those who praised Him in holy attire, as they went out before the army.

In fact, it is not understandable to let the people who sing to the Lord and praise his name in holy attires go ahead of the army in the midst of the fiercest war-field in which arrows fly around. But 1 Samuel 17:47 says, "The battle is the LORD's and He will give you into our hands!" Because King Jehoshabath remembered this promise and was very aware that he would be able to win the fight only when he pleased God, he could dare to do it.

At last as soon as the people in the holy attire began singing to God, God also began working for them. The united army of those a couple of countries fought against one another and they were all destroyed.

The people's putting on the holy attires spiritually means "circumcising the heart and accomplishing purified heart." The sanctification of appearances is not enough to God. God is touched with the songs we sing from the heart and accepts it joyfully only when we have cast off all kinds of evils from the heart and become sanctified.

Thus, in the spiritual warfare is so great of the power that comes out of the praises of those who have become sanctified. If the power of God is manifested through our praises, He will immediately make possible what is really impossible with human abilities.

When David played the lute for the King Saul who was suffering from the possession of evil sprit, the evil spirit left Saul. This tells how great and powerful the praises of those who have accomplished is.

In addition, even if you have not been assigned for the duty of singing praises, your praises coming from the sanctified heart can be offered to God. So, when you sing praises to God from the heart and with the love for God at the worship services and in daily lives, God will accept it and give you the desires of heart.

Therefore, may you accomplish complete sanctification as God wants, please Him and receive the desires of heart, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ I pray!
